Embodiment and being fully present in the body at this time is an area I am hugely passionate about and definitely a part of my purpose here on earth. It has been my greatest challenge but also given me the most magic and meaning. It is what my first book ‘Embodied – A self-care guide for sensitive souls’ is about – my journey into my body. It is also one of the biggest blocks I have seen that comes up for empathpreneurs.
Lack of embodiment comes down to not feeling safe in a body. I have come across countless variations of this, from feelings of not fully incarnating or integrating with the body; leading isolated existences so as not to engage with what’s really going on inside and not owning who you are; to escapism and wanting to avoid being in the body because of all the trauma and pain experienced.
The thing is: the magic is in being in the body.
Embodiment is connecting with the full range of feelings and emotions that we are able to experience because we are in the physical – learning and growing from it all. It’s getting to know and trust the signs your body gives you as it is the intuitive part of your being. It’s diving into the shadow parts and un-earthing the jewels that are your greatest strengths, as they can only be found in the darkness. It’s the learning that our bodies are a microcosm of this planet and that we truly can find heaven on earth when we land fully in them.
Allowing yourself to be in your body and experience it completely is life-changing, literally. When you do this, you are able to address what comes up and be guided by your own body in how to release it. Your body tells you when something isn’t aligned or isn’t good for you and will affect you, so you can say ‘no’ to it. How you are feeling in your body is also the mirror vibrationally to what you will attract in your life.
When we are present in our bodies, we are able to shift our entire lives and create and manifest all we desire, and more. We need to be able to feel things in order to transmute them. So it goes without saying that not being in your body can have implications on your business.
I really recommend getting to know and connect with your body and its messages. Allow yourself to be present in your being. Feel your feelings and emotions. Give your body what it wants.
