The heart chakra is traditionally associated with the colour green (although it can also be seen as pink), and is connected to relationships, feelings and being in touch with your emotions.
Some of the blocks that may come up in your heart chakra are:

    • Struggling to share your feelings
    • Feeling unsafe to share your truth and vulnerabilities
    • Not having clear boundaries
    • Being unconnected with yourself, with love and with life
    • Feeling unsafe to give and receive

Can you relate to any of these?

A few practices that can support your heart chakra are:

    • Wearing or having green (or pink) things around you.
    • Practice regular self-care and self-love, and loving kindness (metta meditation).
    • Chant the mantra sound corresponding to this chakra: “YAM.”
    • Watching or reading romantic stories.

Also spending time connecting to this area through prompts diving into what might be blocking you.

What does your heart need today?

Here is a short meditation to help you to take a moment for yourself to connect with your heart. You might like to place one or both hands on your heart space as you do this.

Feel the energy of it. Notice the colours. Notice the shape. Notice what you notice.

Breathe into it. Softly. Deeply. Compassionately.

Feel it beating. Feel it giving you life force. Feel it holding you.

Feel the stillness. Feel the connection. Feel the trust.

Ask your heart, what does it need today?

Trust the answer and do what you can to give it to yourself.

Do this meditation as often as you need. I recommend daily: first thing in the morning and whenever you need to connect back into your truth and authentic self.

(From my upcoming book Embodied Business).
