I remember feeling like I was a different person in the many different jobs I had when I became a freelancer. I was the organised, foodie who was into sustainability when I worked in the food industry supporting ethical food companies with their PR & marketing. I was the arty, creative one when I worked with jewellery brands. Then at one time I had a more corporate role, where I really had to dull down and be much less of myself, only the super administrative, organised part of me could really shine.

Now, all of these businesses definitely tuned into parts of me, but I still felt I had to shut down pieces of me, or not be fully myself, even on an unconscious level. Business, from my experience, was about fitting yourself into what or where you work. Tuning into and honing certain parts that are ‘needed’. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, and it works for many, but for me – it never was going to.

It made me think about some of my previous relationships where I’ve also adapted myself, or not shown all of myself. To fit into what I perceived to be desirable to the individual I was with. I couldn’t show all of me because that would surely scare them off. They aren’t so spiritual so I’ll keep that part contained…It goes on.

I’ve been with some wonderful people and the relationships meant a lot to me and there was a lot of growth (;-)), but I was honestly never fully myself, until my most recent relationship.

Now I am ALL of me: earthy, crazy-spiritual off in the galaxies, a little OCD, a bit of a bossy diva princess at times, but also kind, caring, loving, and I just show up as me. I made a conscious decision to be this after doing a lot of healing and work around relationships, and I am now in the most incredible relationship that I couldn’t have ever dreamed of.

What if business is just the same?

If you too, are multi-passionate with a unique combination of facets, attributes, quirks, gifts and parts, then you might relate!

The more I bring of myself to my business the better it gets in every way – clients, money, offerings, how I work etc. I get to bring in my arty, creative side, the part that loves past lives, working with intuition, colours, marketing and PR in ways that feel good and honour the menstrual cycle, writing, and whatever else I choose to bring in. And best of all it feels easy… effortless… and like ME the more I do it!

How would it feel to bring ALL of you into your business? Or at least play with those edges and see what might unfold. You might decide to keep some of it just for you, and I totally respect that. You might remember a hidden part that now wants to take centre stage. Who knows what might happen.
