September 1, 2023How different colours can support your wellbeing
Do you have a favourite colour?
Is there a colour you dislike?
Maybe you have had different colours throughout your life that you have been drawn to, and literally can’t get enough of. Or on the flip side, colours you can’t stand and won’t go near.
Every colour has different qualities which, depending on you as an individual, can support, soothe, bring up triggers for deeper insight, create awareness and healing, and have an effect on your overall wellbeing.
In this piece I will be sharing with you about the aspects of a few colours (from the Colour Mirrors system) and how having that particular colour around you (such as in items you have, clothes you wear, having flowers/plants in that colour etc, using it to paint/draw in etc) in different ways can support your wellbeing, as well as give you an insight into what might be going on for you on a conscious and un-conscious level.
Colour Mirrors is a system (of coloured bottles of oils and essences) that tunes into the power of colour as a mirror for what is going on inside. The colours (and combinations) that you are drawn to and repelled by can reveal where there might be healing needed, as well as show your talents, gifts, and more.
To illustrate, when I first began working with the colour gold, I had a migraine and was bed-bound in serious pain for three days. I literally couldn’t do anything. Then in the days that followed, I experienced lots of triggers around me stepping up into what I was being called into, stepping into my power, which came up in all areas of my life, from work to seemingly meaningless interactions.
Then as I began to go into it to hold and acknowledge what was rising, I experienced some deep healing around past lives in Egypt. Sometimes you don’t even realise what’s coming up, but colour has this magical way of bringing up what you need to release – it truly is an activator. It can then also be used as the balm or remedy to hold you through what’s rising.
Working with colour
To begin, I recommend bringing your awareness to an issue that might be rising for you, or something you would like guidance on, when it comes to your wellbeing, then ask yourself which colour would support you with it. Then take a look at the list below to see more about it.
Or if you don’t have anything in particular rising you could simply notice what colour/s you are drawn to or repelled by right now, and then see what this might be a reflection of from the list below.
Alternatively, if you feel you would like more or less of the qualities of a particular colour (from the list below) you can proactively use that colour more in your life and let it work its magic with, through and for you.
Below is a list of some colours and a few of the qualities/aspect (both ‘positive’ and ‘negative’) that each colour can be a reflection of from Colour Mirrors. With the qualities listed, take what resonates and leave what doesn’t as this will be what you need at this time. One caveat is if you are particularly repelled by an aspect in the list, it might also mean there is something in there for you to look into more deeply, that will support you…
