An important part of my self-care journey was making sure to treat myself while I made changes in my life. It meant I didn’t feel like I was depriving myself in the beginning and I found it much more motivating than my previous all or nothing approach.
Over time I found I didn’t need ‘treats’ so much as the treat was feeling so good inside myself. But it was fun to find new ways to treat myself that were within my budget and made me feel good on a deep level. This varied from things like making raw chocolate; having a bath with essential oils to getting myself fresh flowers, which made me happy.
When was the last time you treated yourself to something you really enjoy and that nourishes you? What can you do to treat yourself this week?
