I want to share some of my perspectives on why so many empaths find it so hard to ground the spiritual side with the physical, and what can support you to do this.
I find that it can go either way… Perhaps you have been immersed in the western working world with its emphasis on logic and systems, and find it hard to accept or even know where to begin with your spiritual side. You know it’s there; you just don’t know how to bring it into your life/business.
Or perhaps – and this is the one I find most common amongst empathpreneurs – you are fully connected with your spiritual side and you often prefer being in that space, but you find it much harder to be in the physical and bring your visions and gifts down to earth.
As an aside, you might find differences in these for different areas of your life (for example, I was more in the physical when it came to business and more in the spiritual when it came to my wellbeing).
Whichever category you fall into, they are both ultimately about separation and not bringing the spiritual into the physical. They are about not accepting that you can have both and be both: that you are a spiritual being having a physical experience.
When you have felt and experienced so much in life, it is often easy to feel unsafe being here on earth. It is easy to feel like you won’t fit, what you offer won’t be accepted, and that you will be judged. So it’s easier to stay in the higher realms and not fully ground what it is you are here to do.
If you have experienced a lot of rejection in life, which is my story, with the ultimate rejection being at birth and disconnecting from source, it may feel like you will never be accepted in your physical form. Issues might come up around survival and being in your body. There may be a part of you that doesn’t want to fully ‘land’ on earth, so as not to experience that disconnection and rejection any further. Ironically though, as you do this to protect yourself, you actually tend to attract more of it, which can show up in business as not clearly sharing what you do, not reaching the people you are here to serve, or not getting clients.
To shift this, you need to be fully present on earth. You need to accept and honour both your physical and spiritual sides. You need to accept yourself fully.
I invite you to begin to observe where in your life you feel that separation. You could spend some time journaling or reflecting on these prompts:
