A supportive place to let goOctober 28, 2023
Is your body calling for this?November 8, 2023
I’m one of those people that can watch a movie or read a book I love hundreds of times. Every time I go through it again I see something else. I learn something else. I receive something else. I was explaining it to my partner, as I got him to watch one of my favourite romantic dramas I’ve seen many times (!)…. I love looking out for nuances, shades, and different things I might not have seen before. A certain book or movie can sometimes help me access a feeling I know I want to experience. Also depending on where I am at I will receive something else that I need to know or be aware of, as life is always mirroring back to us.
How do you feel about this?
It made me think about my work in general, and how we are so addicted to quick fixes, instant gratification, scroll culture – or at least it’s so easy to get pulled into this, myself included. It really doesn’t lend itself to how I want to be in the world – how I want to consume, share or be. It doesn’t lend itself to the space I hold.
The spaces I hold invite, even demand, that you slow down. They hold you in a space where to truly receive their gifts you need to be still. They are an invitation to go deep into yourself. You may have ventured here before, but even if you come again, you will be shown something else. Another layer will be revealed.
When you are in this, you get to know yourself even better.
You deepen your trust in yourself.
You deepen your knowing in who you are.
You become more of who you are.
You can hold yourself beyond the fears, anxieties, things that rise from, and in, everyday life.
You feel held, supported and embodied.
You feel safe!
I’ve definitely found that these spaces aren’t for everyone. They require strength, a dedication and perseverance to go through the discomfort, which often comes from the mind (but also the body’s conditioning). The want to move. To avoid. To get on with the next thing.
I have sat in them – deeply uncomfortably at times. I have felt all the feelings that can come up from being still. From sitting ‘naked’ with myself. Within these spaces, you feel the depths of emotion, which also includes absolute bliss, joy, love, connection and passion.
There is such a beauty in this way of being. It’s like living poetry.
All I know is in our crazy fast world, it’s how I want to be, and how I want to continue to hold space for others.
How does this resonate for you?
I am deeply proud to hold and share the spaces I do, and to co-create the energy of them with the incredible people I get to work with.
I am deeply committed to bringing all I that I am. To being all I am, when we work together in any capacity.
To holding a potent container of depth and transformation.
If you would like to feel into what it would be like to work together, I invite you to book in a call here.
