Give back
November 30, 2021One of the fastest ways to stop yourself in business is to not love or feel passionate about what you are doing. Or to be doing something because you think it is the right thing, or that you should be doing it. This connects to your purpose and your reason ‘why’ you do what you do: it’s hard to show up for something that doesn’t have meaning for you.
One of my clients was an artist who started making products to sell because it made commercial sense. She was investing a lot of her time, energy and money into doing this, but her heart wasn’t in it at all. She wanted to be an artist – spending time creating and making because that was her passion. Needless to say, it wasn’t long before she felt burned out and overwhelmed by it all and had to make some changes to support herself and be more aligned to where her heart really was.
- How does this feel for you right now?
- Do you love or feel passionate about your business, or at least parts of it?
- If not, how can you change this?
Tied into this is having a work environment for yourself that you love or that you are at least comfortable in. How you feel about your workspace can make all the difference to how you show up. As an empath, you might be particularly sensitive to clutter, noise, colours and the view.
- How do you feel about your current working environment?
- What changes could you make to love it even more?
