Using your intuition in business
March 15, 2021How do you stay true to your sensitive nature in business?
This is definitely something I have gone back and forth with. Being and learning about business from a masculine-dominated way of doing things, definitely didn’t allow for much (if any) space for a sensitive nature. So, I learned to numb it and push it down, so that I could power through and not feel so much.
This led to a number of health issues and years trying to find my way back to myself. As I learned to accept that I was more sensitive than most of my colleagues, and was affected by simple things such as commuting or the energy in the room, I gradually began to honour it and show up for myself in a way that honoured MY needs.
Over time I realised that my sensitivity is what gives me my EDGE in business. It’s my compass for what’s aligned for me. It supports me to make intuitive decisions. It looks out for me as it screams when I’m pushing too hard or over-doing it, and so much more.
It’s an ongoing journey of self-care and self-love, taking more time, honouring my own rhythms, cycles and seasons, and that of this planet. It’s creating a new way of doing business that honours the whole, leaning into rest and not being on all the time. Creating space, lots of space…
