How working with your chakras can open the flow of money

The journey of co-creating my next book, Embodied Money, has been unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Since committing to the project in late 2023, it has taken me on a profound, often unexpected path of deep connection and surrender – one that has brought me back to my body, my creativity, and my energy in new and powerful ways.

It began with softening. Sixty-six days of yin yoga became my way of listening to what different parts of my body wanted to tell me about money. This practice opened up spaces for deep release and intuitive guidance. The main messages were to stop holding on so tightly and to spend more time in stillness.

Alongside this I spent a lot of time connecting to the mystery of the Earth. From the ley lines that move through her body, to the roots of nature that bury deep down for nourishment. I explored my own roots, through eating Indian food, colour therapy paintings to support my inner child and journeying deep into my root chakra.

What followed was a void of integration. My own income dried up completely, forcing me to lean on others for support and to truly surrender to receiving. This wasn’t easy, but it brought me into a new relationship with faith and trust.

Looking back, I see how abundant this time truly was. All my needs – and even some of my desires – were met through the generosity of those around me. I also recognise the privilege that allowed me to ask for help. These experiences re-shaped how I see abundance and taught me that letting go is often the first step toward opening the flow.

From there, I began walking with the soul of Embodied Money, exploring what she wanted to reveal to me. I began to feel caves of money filling up beneath me in my Earth Star chakra, showing me how wealthy I really was. My practice then evolved into a moving meditation, connecting with and clearing each chakra while inviting in the energy of money.

This daily connection became a portal to profound insights. I saw my chakras as vivid symbols: sparkling crystals, or other elements of nature one day, expansive galaxies the next. Each energy centre revealed its unique gifts and qualities, while also surfacing old patterns that needed to clear. Every step of this practice deepened my relationship with creativity, energy, and abundance.

Over time, the flow of money and opportunities began returning to my life. My creativity has taken on a more grounded, expansive energy that continues to ripple outward, inviting me to step more fully into my work – including spaces I’d long left behind, like the corporate world.

Through this journey, I came to understand just how connected money is to creation. Money is a tool for bringing ideas, visions, and dreams into form. By opening the energy centres in your body, you can access the flow of creativity, abundance, and resources that want to support you.
